Part way along my trip through Asia I spent 3 days in Singapore. The people zoo! Its a huge concrete playground but very interesting at the same time. I took a walk one day with a friend that I met at My hostel to Marina Bay, and we took these photos.
First stop, China Town ! Not like China towns in other Asian cities, but interesting all the same. Its very organised and so crazy as China town in Penang, or Kuala Lumpa.
So many Chinese Lanterns
First stop of course in the food court where you can get just about any type of Chinese for for between $3-$4, Singapore dollars.
A Chinese Temple of some sort
Crazy pictures on the roof, great for photographs!
The view from the 57th floor of the Pinnacle @ Duxton apartment building that you can go up for $5
This photo reminds me of my 2 weeks in New York.
The Double Helix Bridge. What a interesting structure!
This strange looking structure is actually a museum.
We found an open air free concert at this stage on the waterfront in Marina Bay. The music was amazing complemented by an insane drummer
The Marina Bay Light Show is on of the most spectacular things i’ve seen in the world. Lasers and a projection of the story of life onto a screen of spray and mist in front of the shopping centre. We watched it from the shopping centre at 8 30 and then again from a distance at the other side of the bay at 9 30 so we could see the laser display from a distance. Just stunning and I recommend for anyone visiting Singapore to witness this show.
Each day there’s a light show on the waterfront. They project a movie with music onto a screen of spray in front of the shopping centre.
And from the top of the Marina Sands Building there is an incredible Laser show to compliment the lights show and music
